Cindy Lee (Riffle) Spillman

Cindy Lee (Riffle) Spillman, 68, of Osceola entered eternal rest, on March 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in South Bend on September 21, 1955, to the late Ray and Maxine (Erick) Riffle.

Cindy was a lifelong resident of the South Bend and Osceola areas. She married Paul Spillman on March 31, 1979, and they shared five daughters. Cindy dedicated her life to taking amazing care of her loved ones. She enjoyed going out to eat, especially to Red Lobster, planting flowers, glamping, playing online games, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Everyone believes they shared a special bond with her because it is true, she was everyone’s “person”.

Cindy leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Heather (Demetrius) Brown, Megan Spillman, Jeanne Spillman, Jodie (Spillman) Snyder; her sister Becky (Joe) Leichtman; her grandchildren, Breya, Brielle, Bryleigh, Shamar, Jakiah, Nicole, Anthony, Andrew, Jason, Erica, Paul, Brittany, Caitlin, Stephanie, and Johnathan; 26 great grandchildren and her lifelong best friend Pam May as well as numerous extended family members. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, her daughter Jackie Spillman, a sister Kay Hollycross, and brother, Bill Riffle.

A time to honor Cindy’s life is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2-3 pm with a service beginning at 3pm at Cruz Family Funeral Home, Osceola. Cremation has taken place. A family friend, Sue Warren, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Cindy’s life, memorial contributions may be sent to Center for Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society.
