Billy Gene Hollis

Billy Gene Hollis, age 81 of Edwardsburg, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.  Billy was born March 21, 1938 in Wycliff, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Viola (Hargrove) Hollis.  On September 26, 1958, he married Helen Barnes in Cairo, Illinois. Helen preceded him in death, passing away December 3, 2018. 

Surviving is his daughter Kim (Jon) Silveus of Granger.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Joshua Silveus, Jason Silveus, and Crystal (Brandon) Pannabecker, and his great grandchildren Kyle and Emma.  Also surviving are his siblings Marvin Miller, Phyllis (H.B.) Carr, Virgil “Buddy” (Marilyn) Hollis, Mark (Sonja) Hollis, Donald (Dottie) Hollis, and Billy Rink.  He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Jane Lee.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Cedar Road Missionary Church 56907 Cedar Road, Osceola, Indiana.  Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Billy was employed for many years as a diesel mechanic at Bock Industries and later with Bull Moose Tube of Elkhart.  In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering in his garage, camping with his family, and playing his guitar.  He also loved tractors and enjoyed going to tractor pulls and shows.   Billy was also a longtime member of Cedar Road Missionary Church in Osceola.
