Camille Marie (Lud) Lyons

Camille Marie Lyons, age 72 of Jackson, Michigan, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family at Medilodge of Okemos at 7:27pm on Monday, October 21, 2019.  Camille was born September 2, 1947 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Frank and Teresa M. (Gadaleto) Ludovico. 

Surviving is her husband Victor Calvin Lyons, and their children Jessica (Antonio) Benavides of Lansing, Michigan, David (Sarah) Lyons, Victor (Samantha) Lyons, Moses (Michelle) Lyons, all of Jackson, Michigan, Mathue Lyons of Lansing, Michigan and Marcus Lyons of Jackson, Michigan.  Surviving as well are 22 grandchildren and her siblings Mara Lud, Frank (Stella) Lud, and Mary Lou Lud.  She was preceded in death by her brother in law Lee White.

A celebration of Camille’s life will be held at the graveside at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2520 W. Willow, Lansing, Michigan 48917.  Cruz Family Funeral Home, Osceola, Indiana has been entrusted with her care. 

Camille was employed for many years as an art teacher at Da Vinci Institute High School in Jackson, Michigan before retiring in 1999. In her spare time, she loved creating art and listening to music.  She was a hard worker who set an example for her children. Her fun-loving, energetic, feisty “Keep it Real” attitude will be missed by her family and friends.
