Cathy Sue (Spitler) Curtis

Cathy Sue (Spitler) Curtis, age 64  of Three Rivers, Michigan, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Heartland Hospice of Three Rivers.  Cathy was born April 18, 1955 in Kalamzoo, Michigan. 

            Surviving is her husband Ron Curtis of Three Rivers and her son Shawn (Denise Tobias) Matson of White Pigeon, Michigan.  Cathy is also survived by her sister Deb (Robert) Langmaack of Charlotte, Michigan and her best friend and honorary sister Ellent Jent of Arizona.  Surviving as well are her grandchildren Cody Doxtater, Misty Matson, Dacota Matson and Leighton Brunner and her great grandchildren Leighland Bryant, Claire Tran and Liam Tran.  Surviving as well is her niece and nephew  Austin and Autumn Garvison. Her mother, LaNell Sue Witham, her step-father Ben Witham, and her brother Robert Spitler preceeded her in death.

            A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at a later time. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola is assisting with the arrangments.

            Cathy was employed for many years in the plastics design factories throughout the Schoolcraft and Vicksburg areas and several years at B&G Discount in Schoolcraft.  In her younger years, she enjoyed canoing and crocheting. Cathy also loved animals, some would say more than people, especially horses.
