Maria E. Padilla

Maria Eulalia Padilla, age 92 of Mishawaka, formerly of Michoacán, Mexico passed away at 4:25 am Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.  Maria was born October 11, 1925 in Michoacán, Mexico to the late Juan and Catalina Lareos Padilla.   She was preceded in death by her husband Juventino Paredes Cantu in November of 1963. 

            Surviving are her children Raul Paredes and his wife Maria Louisa Aguilera of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Juventino Paredes and his wife Angelita Cisneros Paredes and Marta Paredes, both of South Bend. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.   Her son in law, Miguel Angel Guerra and her siblings Santiago, Ramon, Marina, Socorro, and Aurora Padilla all preceded her in death. 

            There will be visitation with the Padilla family from 5-7 pm Friday, February 23, 2018 followed by a 7:00 pm celebration of Maria’s life at the Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola.

            Maria was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to music from Mexico, cooking, and camping. In her spare time, she loved visiting with her family and friends.  Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who found great pride in caring for her family.
