Martha Jane (Renner) Federnok

Martha J. Federnok, age 95 of Osceola, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital.  Martha was born May 18, 1924 in Mishawaka, Indiana and was adopted by the late Charles and Mary (Pridmore) Renner.  Martha worked at Wheelabrator in Mishawaka where she met her husband Andrew Federnok.  They were married January 8, 1944, in Osceola, Indiana.  He preceded her in death, passing away on February 10, 2005. 

Surviving is her son, John Federnok of Osceola, her former daughter – in – law Lola Federnok, and her grandchildren Jill (Randy) Books, Kim (Chad) McDonald, John A. Federnok and Matthew P. Federnok.  Surviving as well are her great grandchildren Nicole Spitaels, Alex Books, and Elisecia McDonald. 

Following Martha’s wishes, she will be cremated, and her family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with the arrangements.

Martha was employed part time for over 22 years in the meat department at Park -N- Shop in Osceola. She was also a longtime member of the Osceola United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Andrew to Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada, cruising to the Bahamas, spending time in Florida and traveling to the Hawaiian Islands.  Martha stayed very active spending time in her garden, playing BINGO, bowling, shopping and picking apples.
