Michael Alan Harlacher

Michael Alan Harlacher, age 61, of Granger passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Michael was born April 16, 1958 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Henry and Ernestine (Christy) Harlacher. Michael was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1976.    On September 9, 1978, he married Kelly Weisweaver at the Osceola United Methodist Church.  Kelly preceded him in death passing away October 11, 2017.

            Surviving are his children, Ashley Harlacher and her fiancé Josh VanLeeuwen of Carrboro, North Carolina and Cole Harlacher of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Also surviving are his siblings Ken (Margaret) Harlacher, Cindy (Jeff) Wordinger, and Donna (Brian) Perkins.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola with funeral services to follow at 5:00 pm.  Entombment will follow  on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 10:00 am in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.   

Michael was a contracted delivery driver and recently retired from FedEx. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time boating and fishing for steelhead on the St. Joseph River.  He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman in his younger years.  After his wife’s passing, Michael enjoyed renewing old friendships and making new friends as well.
