Michelle (Harbert) Smith

Michelle Smith, 49, of Jones, Michigan passed away on December 27, 2019 surrounded by her family at home. Michelle was born on February 16, 1970 in Paw Paw, Michigan to Kenneth and Sandra Harbert.

 Michelle formerly lived in Florida, where she enjoyed walking on the beach always looking for a piece of nature’s finest treasures, sea glass. She loved to care for others and was an LPN at Baya Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Florida. But her true love was for her family.

 Michelle is survived by her children, Courtney Dillenbeck of Jones, MI., Ashton Smith and Brooklyn Smith both of Dowagiac, MI., her grandson Brayden Dillenbeck. Also surviving are her brother Rocky (Laticia) Harbert of Orland Park, IL and her sister Mary (Michael) Hendricks-Kurtz of Osceola, IN. Courtney’s father and Michelle’s best friend, Chad Dillenbeck of Decatur, MI and Ashton and Brooklyn’s loving father Steve Smith of Dowagiac, MI., and her nieces Dezaray and Ella, and her nephews Matthew, Brandyn and Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Cody Harbert.

 In keeping with Michelle’s wishes there will be no services. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Smith family.
