Sally Jean Wegnerowski, age 73, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her home in South Bend. Sally was born December 1, 1944 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Harold D. “Tom” and Zelma I. (Paulus) Yoder. On November 26, 1971, she married Robert Wegnerowski. They celebrated 46 years of marriage.
Surviving is her husband Robert of South Bend, 4 sons and 1 daughter; Robert (Dawn) Cuskaden, Anthony (Darsha) Cuskaden, Robert Wegnerowski, Kim Williamson-Wegnerowski, and Chris (Deanna) Wegnerowski. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren; Brian (Sarah) Cuskaden, Kelley Cuskaden, Cory (Lauren) Cuskaden, Tera (Michael) Cuskaden-Norris, Douglas Cuskaden, Matthew Cuskaden, Jenna Wegnerowski, Brianna Melanson, Nicole Williamson, Amber Williamson, Peter Wegnerowski, Noah Wegnerowski, Angela Wegnerowski, Laura Wegnerowski, Ashley Watson and Connor Watson. Also surviving are 3 great grandchildren, Taylor Cuskaden, Cole Cuskaden, and Rylee Cuskaden, as well as her sisters JoAnne Scheittecatte and Connie Young. Preceding her in death were her grandchildren Amanda and Meghan Wegnerowski.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 11:00 am Funeral Service on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.
Sally was employed for many years as a paraprofessional at Eggleston and Swanson schools where she was known to her students as “Mrs. W.” until her retirement several years ago. In her spare time, she babysat children in her home loved to bake and cook for her family in her home, especially for Christmas and the holidays, gardening and flowers, and spending time with her husband Robert at the Casino.
