Steven George Gerschoffer

Steven G. Gerschoffer, age 64 of Elkhart, passed away Aug. 6, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital.  Steve was born Aug. 29, 1953 in Elkhart.  On Sept. 11, 1999, he married Melonie Oswald in Elkhart. 

Melonie survives, along with his mother Diane (Gerry) Goss of Elkhart & his children Rachael (Chris) Huffman, Amber Gerschoffer, and Ryan Gerschoffer.  Also surviving are 5 granddaughters; Taylor, Madison, Olivia, Chelsee, & Gabrielle and a “bonus” granddaughter Lydia.  Steve is survived as well by his sister Niki (Spyridon) Stratigos of Bloomington, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his father, George Gerschoffer.

Funeral services will be private.  Cruz Family Funeral Home of Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.

Steve was a graduate of Elkhart High School, and later was employed as the warehouse manager for GE.  In his spare time, he loved to cook and spend time camping and fishing with his wife Melonie, but most of all, Steve loved to be a husband, father and grandfather to his family.
