Albert Adeyinka (Yinka) Adeigbo Sr, 73, of South Bend Indiana entered heavenly rest on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. He was born on April 16, 1952, in Nigeria to Joseph Jacobs Adeigbo, former president of Nigerian Airways and Florence (Adeiran) Adeigbo, a home maker. He was the first born of six children. He moved to the United States in 1976 to pursue his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York in New Paltz, New York. He subsequently attended a master’s program in Fine Arts for one year at Pratt Institute in New York, New York.

He fathered two children with Maureen Ziboh, MD and four children with Margaret Potts. He is survived by his five children, Albert Adeigbo Jr, Autumn Adeigbo, April Adeigbo-Marsh and her husband Kevin, their 3 sons, Avery, Skylar and Payton, Joseph Adeigbo and his wife Vanessa and their 2 sons Joe and Leo and Christopher Adeigbo, JD.

He is also survived by his sisters Adenihun Alaja Browne, her children and Adebisi Adeigbo, both of Lagos Nigeria and Adebumi Adeigbo of London, UK. He has a brother Adeoye Adeigbo and his family of Prince George’s County, Maryland USA and first-cousin Benjamin Oke of South Carolina USA and his family. He also has several cousins, nieces and nephews who live in Nigeria and the USA. He was preceded in death by his son Adam Adeigbo, brother Adeniyi Adeigbo, parents and grandparents.

He had several long-time friends: Lanre Moore who he spoke to daily, Ike Chinda, Tom Okure, Kunle Adekoya, Folu Ademuluyi and Kenneth Damelda to name a few.

Albert was a creative soul who poured his talents into everything he did. He was an artist with interest and talent in writing, painting, woodwork and sculpting. He found joy in using his gifts to create something meaningful. He poured his life’s work into authorship and his book Cosmism: The God Particle in Steady States’s Theory. He lived life on his own terms, a fiercely independent and free-spirited soul and was loved by many and will be remembered by his sharp sense of humor and the one-of-a-kind, contagious laugh. Albert embraced a simple life, though he always had a soft spot for cars, especially Mercedes and BMWs

A time to celebrate his life is scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Viewing will be from 11:00 am to Noon with a service at 12:30 pm at the Forest Chapel at Cruz Family Funeral Home 1109 Lincolnway West, Osceola Indiana 46561. A burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Elkhart Indiana.
