Althea Ann McIntosh, age 64, of South Bend, passed away on February 19, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born May 5, 1961 in Vanceboro, North Carolina to the late George and Nancy (Lewis) Peters.

Althea is survived by her sister, Ann (Jeff) Jones of Osceola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin McIntosh, and her brother, Milton Peters.

Althea spent much of her life as a homemaker and took pride in the simple, meaningful things that made a house feel like home. She was well liked by those who knew her and had a naturally kind and gentle personality that made it easy for her to connect with others and form lasting friendships. Althea was also a talented artist who enjoyed drawing and coloring by hand, often creating artwork that reflected her patience and creativity. She had a special love for horses and over the years built a large collection of horse figurines that brought her a great deal of joy. Those who knew Althea will remember her warm spirit, her creativity, and the quiet happiness she found in the things she loved.
