Carl Michael “Mike” Fisher, 77, of Osceola, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1947, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late Carl C. and Cecelia D. (Walls) Fisher. He graduated from Penn High School in 1966, then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. Mike achieved the rank of Corporal and was awarded a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat, an honor he carried with great pride. Throughout the years, Mike worked in construction, but his career also took him to Southwest Airlines and later to the Salt River Project in Arizona, two jobs he truly enjoyed.

He is survived by his children: Tammy Fisher, Carl “Mike” Fisher Jr. (Jenifer), Daniel “Boone” Fisher (Heather), and Amanda LeFevre (Mark), as well as his stepchildren, Michael (Julie) Wolfe and Kim (Michael) Howard. He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mike also leaves behind his siblings: Bruce Fisher (Helen), Cecelia Melton, and Carleen Fisher (Bev). He was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Allen and sister Linda Jane.

Mike had a great love for travel and spent time in Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina. He was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, Notre Dame football, and the New York Yankees. Just before his passing, he was thrilled to watch his grandson Justin play in the Blue-Gold Game at Notre Dame, an experience that meant the world to him.

A proud Army veteran, Mike was a longtime member of the Englewood, Florida VFW. He served three terms as post commander, participated in the Funeral Honor Guard, and was instrumental in bringing the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall to the local post, a legacy that reflects his passion for honoring fellow veterans. In his spare time, he loved working on cars and could often be found tinkering under the hood.
