Charsley Meek

Charsley L. Meek, 62, of Niles bravely fought until her passing on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at The Orchards of Niles, with family by her side. She was born in Memphis, TN on July 1, 1963, to the late James and Dorothy Moody.

Surviving are her children, Stephany (Zachary Myers) Glass of Niles, Joseph McKenzie of South Bend, and Holley McKenzie of Buchanan, MI. Her grandchildren, Sophie, Seraphina, Scarlet, and Faith Carmody and siblings, Cindy and Mackie Moody also survive.

Charsley had a gift for making a house feel like home, always keeping it warm, welcoming, and filled with love. She especially enjoyed cooking meals for family gatherings and found great joy in spoiling her grandchildren. The holidays were some of her favorite times of year, particularly Christmas, and she always looked forward to trips to the movie theatre to see the latest films. She also dearly loved her animals, Coo the dove, Lassie the border collie, and Diego the German shepherd, all of whom brought her comfort and companionship through the years. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Services are pending, and details will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society.
