Cheryl Ann Scott, 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at her home in Osceola. She was born on June 2, 1956, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Dennis and Maxine (Horn) Perry. Cheryl attended Riley High School and, on March 23, 1974, married the love of her life, Michael A. Scott, in Elkhart. Together they recently celebrated 51 years of love, laughter, and friendship.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Mike Scott of Osceola; her sons Mike (Tina) Scott, Steve (Jamie) Scott, and Brian (Jackie) Scott; and her five grandchildren she adored, Makayla, Austin, Gavin, Jaxson, and Olivia Scott. She is also survived by her brother Rodney (Lesley) Perry, sister-in-law Mary Perry, and brother-in-law Mike Cabanaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Debbie (Randy) Heeter, Paula (Bill) Greene, and Pam Cabanaw, and brothers Denny Perry and Roy Perry.

Visitation will be held from 4–7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. An additional hour of visitation will take place before the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, October 16, 2025, also at Cruz Family Funeral Home. Cheryl will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service.

Cheryl loved garage sales and the thrill of finding a good deal. A devoted homemaker, she always put her family first, making sure everyone was cared for and often putting others needs before her own. Her grandchildren adored her, and she proudly held the title of “favorite aunt” among her nieces and nephews.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed watching soap operas, Lifetime movies, and Hallmark shows. In her younger years, some of her happiest times were spent camping at Yogi Bear Campground with her family. Those who knew her will remember her as dependable, loving, compassionate, selfless, and fun.

Because of Cheryl’s love for children, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or the American Heart Association.
