Christopher “Carson” (Thompson) Toliver, age 22, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at his home in Greenwood, Indiana. Carson was born on July 1, 2003, in South Bend, Indiana, to William M. Toliver and Jacilynn Ferris-Davis. He graduated from Center Grove High School with the Class of 2022.

Carson will be deeply missed by the many people who loved him so dearly, including his mother, Jacilynn (George Davis IV) Ferris-Davis; his father, William M. Toliver; and his bonus daddy, Alton (Tiffany) Thompson. He shared a special bond with his siblings, Cole (Jessica) Thompson and Gabriella Thompson, Payton and Gavin Toliver, and step-sister, Audrey Hutchins. He was cherished by his grandparents, Roger and Teresa Brown, Karen Steele, George and Kelly Davis III, and Teri Davis, as well as his great-grandparents, Rev. Thomas and Jeanne Edwards. Carson also leaves behind his uncle, Dustin (Alison) Brown; his beloved nephew, Xander and niece Ali, several cousins including Mason, and Greyson Brown and Katelin, Ashtin, and Trent DeCraene; and his special aunt, Brooke Powell. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donnie Toliver, and his great-grandparents, Dale and Betty Brown.

Carson had a joyful and adventurous spirit that made life brighter for everyone around him. He loved amusement parks and never passed up the chance to ride the biggest roller coasters he could find. Some of his happiest memories were made in Orlando, where he enjoyed special behind-the-scenes experiences arranged by his cousin Brad (Ronda) Schoenberg. Most recently, Carson spent a treasured week there with his mom, his sister and best friend Gabriella, his grandparents Roger and Teresa Brown, and his beloved aunts Sharon Petersen and Rhonda McBride. The family is especially grateful to Brad for helping create memories Carson carried with him during his final days.

Carson also loved collecting Pokémon cards with his stepdad George, online gaming with friends and family, and golfing with those he loved. He had a playful sense of humor, a tender heart, and an ability to make others laugh even during difficult moments. The bond Carson shared with his mother was extraordinary. They spent countless hours side by side throughout his life and especially during his illness. He also deeply admired his brother Cole and loved him beyond words.

Above all else, Carson loved Jesus. Through every challenge he faced, he held tightly to his faith and found comfort in the promise of eternal life. One of his sweetest hopes was that one day he would become Xander’s guardian angel.
