Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Dennis R. Finn went home to be with his beloved son, Brian, and his grandson, Franky Jr. on January 21, 2024. Denny was born August 19th, 1949, in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Dewight and Geneveive Finn. He attended Penn High School and if you asked him, he would joke and say that he later attended “Harvard Law.”

He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Kay Finn (Kindig), two daughters; Stacy Reeves (Frank Sr.) and Tracy Hayes (Andy) both of Osceola, IN., Four grandchildren; Whitnea Ralstin (Kevin), Heather Reeves (Chase Caldwell), Kyley Hayes (Phil Grove) and Koley Hayes, four great grandchildren; Brantley Hayes, Finnley Ralstin, Kaysen Hayes, and Birklee Grove, two sisters; Carol Niles of Elkhart, IN and Roxanne Wilkison of Daytona Beach, Florida, and his little buddy; Bubba the Yorkie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Dewight and Genevieve Finn, brothers; Jack Finn, Dewight Finn Jr., Louis, “Humphrey” Finn, a sister; Judith Finn, a son; Brian Finn, and a grandson; Franky Reeves Jr. If there is a fishing hole in heaven, I am sure Denny already has his Yeti cup in hand and is casting a line with his son, Brian and grandson, Franky Jr.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 3:00 pm Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.

Denny was an entrepreneur and always had an idea up his sleeve. He spent many years performing in his band, South Bound, running a van conversion shop and operating his own small chain of used car lots. He had a real love for country music and in 1996 his dreams finally became reality when he and his wife, Linda, opened their own Country Music Bar, Blue Jeans Lounge. Denny was an avid outdoorsman, he spent most of his free time camping, fishing, building decks, mowing lawns, playing his guitar, and going for coffee with his buddies at the OC Café. He loved his family and was so proud of his grandchildren.

In his memory, donations may be made to the Mishawaka Center for Hospice. To light a virtual candle, share a story of Denny’s life, or leave a message of comfort for his family, please follow the links provided on the tribute wall tab above.
