Dorothy Ann Wolfe

Dorothy Ann Wolfe, 83, of Osceola, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 27, 1942, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late Grover and Stella (Harrison) Arnett. A 1959 graduate of Mishawaka High School, Dorothy worked as the treasurer at Schmucker Middle School for over 25 years, retiring at the age of 65.

She is survived by her children, Tim (Carmen Ukele) Wolfe of Mishawaka and Michelle Wolfe of Osceola; and by her grandchildren: Tim “TJ” (Brandi) Wolfe Jr., Kourtni Wolfe, Jacob (Nicole) Gruber, Jared (Ashley) Wolfe, Braxten (Ally) Gruber, Caleb Gruber, Bryleigh (Yuriy) Melnik, Zac Gruber, Mallorie Gruber, Aubree (Tyler) Binkley, Nathan Gruber, and Carson Wolfe. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Chase, Austin, Cara, Ben, Holden, Bohdi, Joella, Beckham, Milana, Augustine, and Kahlia. She now watches over two more great-grandsons—Owen and another due later this year.

Dorothy, or “Dot” to her high school friends, remained close with them and was a committed member of their card club that met for over 53 years. She enjoyed being outside, taking long walks, planting flowers, and spending time at the beach, though she never stepped into the ocean!

She will fondly be remembered for her cooking and baking. Family favorites included her snickerdoodle cookies, banana pudding, beef and noodles, and round steak with gravy. She loved her daily Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and ended each evening with ice cream and a Little Debbie snack cake.

Family was her priority. She supported her grandchildren at every event and was known affectionately as “Nana” by them and many of their friends. She had a playful spirit, soft hands, a kind heart, and a warm presence that made everyone feel at home.

A celebration of life will be held from 1-4pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10661 Washtenaw Dr Osceola IN 46561. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
