Gloria Irene Gatrall, age 90, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Center for Hospice, Raclin House in Mishawaka, Indiana. Gloria was born on December 23, 1935, in Coldwater, Michigan and grew up in Elkhart, Indiana. She was a graduate of Concord High School and raised her family in Dunlap. She had an eye for interior design and worked for many years in Florida helping others make their homes beautiful. Later, Gloria became an EKG Technician and worked at Morton Plant Hospital in Florida for several years before retiring to North Carolina in 2009.
She is survived by her daughters Sue (Bob) King and Wendy Cote, along with her grandchildren Christopher Kuhn, Andrew Kuhn, Brandon (Bethany) Rieth, Garrett Rieth, McKenna Cote and Keylin Cote. Surviving as well are her great grandchildren Braxton and Blake Rieth, and her sister Linda Ivagnilio. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lora and Travers “Rink” Rinker, and her son, Dan Kuhn.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later time. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
Gloria was a talented artist and loved to paint. She loved spending time at the beach. She loved to visit Barnes and Noble to sit and read. She loved watching tennis and listening to music. She was looking forward to a “girls trip” to Sanibel Island in Florida in February of 2027. She loved going to the tavern to have drinks with her friends and was very social. In her younger years, she loved to bowl in a women’s coffee league and sang in both a choir and a barbershop quartet.
