Gloria M. (Reimer) Radde Hutson, 93, of Mishawaka, entered heavenly rest on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born on November 18, 1932, to the late Edward and Pearl (Brown) Reimer, who raised Gloria in Dundee, IL where she lived most her life and married her high school sweetheart, Carl Radde, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1978.
Surviving are their children, Claire (Jim) Richards of Granger, Kevin “Kip” (Irina) Radde of Minnesota, and Darren (Jodi) Radde of Noblesville. Gloria spent much of her early years as a homemaker, volunteering with her children’s activities at local schools and serving at First Congregational Church in Dundee, IL. During that time, Gloria and Carl enjoyed spending summers with family and friends at Pleasant Lake, WI.
Gloria re-married to Jean Hutson of Rochelle, Illinois in 1984. Together, their family grew to include Diane (Larry) Johnson, Barb (Paul) Bearrows, Patricia Kromrie, Craig Hutson, and Michael (Jennifer) Hutson. Along with her parents and spouses, Gloria was preceded in death by a daughter, Margo Moore, and Jean’s daughters, Diane (Larry) Johnson, and Barb (Paul) Bearrows.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Karl, Bill, Luke, Josh, Casey, Noah, Hannah, Jodi, Jeromy, Matt, Michael, Dean, Kimberly, Johnathan, and Jessica, along with 17 great-grandchildren. It was Gloria’s utmost joy to spend time with her family.
Gloria was a selfless person who spent much of her life serving others. Along with her many volunteer efforts, Gloria found meaning in working with United Way in Illinois, where she was honored as Volunteer of the Year, and volunteered running a local hospital gift shop in Rochelle, IL. During the winters, Jean and Gloria enjoyed spending time in Orange Beach, Alabama. Gloria was known for creating delicious meals and treats for family and friends, including her famous zucchini bread and lemon bars.
Gloria enjoy making new friends and participating in outings and activities at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Mishawaka for the past few years.
Cremation has taken place, with a time to visit with friends and family in Indiana to be announced at a later date. Burial will follow services in Dundee, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Osceola United Methodist Church, where Gloria was an active member for many years.
