Jeffrey Michael Kendall Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and the world’s best Papa, passed away May 3, 2026 surrounded by the love he so freely gave throughout his life.

Born on January 13, 1959, to John and Delores (Roher) Kendall, Jeff was a lifelong South Bend resident whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: John Kendall Jr., June Wise, JoAnn Fugate, and Janice Buwa.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Tina; his son, Jeffrey Jr. (Theresa) Kendall; his daughter, Ashley (Micaiah) Oaks; and his cherished grandsons, Roman, Leonidas, and Hawthorne, who knew him as their proud and loving Papa. He is also survived by his siblings Cindy Hood, Judy (Jerry) Holaway, Joy (Rick) Jackowich, Jack (Connie) Kendall, and Jerome (Sherril) Kendall, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Jeff had a gift for making people feel seen and welcomed—he truly never met a stranger. Known for his kindness, generosity, and easygoing spirit, he was always the first to lend a helping hand.

More than anything, Jeff will be remembered for the way he loved—deeply, openly, and without hesitation. His family was his greatest pride, and his role as “Papa” was one he carried with unmatched joy.

His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the love he leaves behind.
