Jill A. (White) Carter, 66, of Mishawaka entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 15, 1959, to the late Benjamin and Gladys (Smith) White and met Floyd Carter while bowling and just celebrated 38 years of marriage together.

Floyd survives along with their children, Jordan (Adam Buford) Glick and Kenneth “Ben” Carter, both of Mishawaka. Grandchildren, Marissa, Hailee, and Dylan Glick, along with Jill’s siblings, Jimmy White, Janice (Larry) Kidder, Joyce (Richard) Pippenger, Jeannie (Bill) Coleman, Jeff White, and Jack (Stephanie) White; along with Floyd’s siblings, Patti (Ed) Piscione and Jimmy (Rose) Carter all survive.

Jill was a strong, genuine, and determined woman who lived her life honestly. She never hesitated to speak her mind; what she said, she meant, and what she meant, she said. She was a proud Alabama fan (Roll Tide!) and loved putting her creative touch into decorating for Halloween each year. More than anything, Jill had a generous and giving spirit. She found great joy in making home-cooked meals, and spending as much time as possible with her family. She poured herself into the people she loved, and her kindness and presence touched everyone around her.

A time to visit with family and friends is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, from 9 am – 11 am with a service beginning at 11 am at South Side General Baptist Church, Mishawaka. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
