Today we say goodbye to Juan Carlos Valdes, who shared his life with my mother for ten years and became part of our family.

He was a reserved man, strong-willed, and not particularly outgoing. Some knew him as a serious and grumpy person, and we affectionately called him “Don Limon.” However, behind that appearance was a hardworking, responsible, and kind-hearted man.

I will always remember how he stood by my mother during the most difficult times. His support, care, and companionship never failed her. I will also remember the small acts of kindness he showed to me and my children whenever we needed help.

He was not my father, but over the years I learned to appreciate and respect him. He was always a decent and respectful person toward me. Although our relationship was not close in the traditional sense, it was marked by mutual respect and gratitude.

Today we say goodbye to him with affection, gratitude, and respect. Thank you for taking care of my mother, for the lessons you left in your own way, and for all the good things you shared with those who knew you.

We hope that Juan Carlos Valdes, “Don Limon,” finds peace, and that his memory remains in the hearts of all who knew him.
