Kathy Jo Dunn

Kathy Dunn, 77, of Osceola bravely fought cancer until her passing on Friday, July 17, 2026, with family by her side. She was born in Elkhart to the late Leland and Lois (Sible) Phares, and later married her husband, Ted Dunn, on May 17, 1975.

Ted survives along with their daughters, Kim (John) McCauslin of Niles, and Kristin (Michael) Bauer of Marrietta, GA; three grandchildren, Grayson McCauslin, and Andrew and Luke Bauer, her brothers, Kurt (Diane) Phares of Goshen, Kevin (Linda) Phares of Indianapolis, and many other extended family.

Kathy appreciated life's simple pleasures and cherished the quiet moments spent with family and close friends, finding happiness in the everyday moments shared together. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed spending time crafting and working on needlepoint projects, taking pride in making something with her own hands. She also loved browsing estate sales in search of unique treasures and could often be found relaxing with a good book. She will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place with no services at this time. A private family burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Center for Hospice Care or Pet Refuge.
