Khristy Dale Bower

Khristy Dale Bower, age 71, passed away at her home in Mishawaka on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Born on June 11, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana, Khristy was the daughter of the late Dale Warren and Barbara Joan Bower. She graduated from Mishawaka High School and spent her early working years in factories around the Michiana area. Later, she embraced her favorite role, being a mom and focused on raising her children.

Surviving are her children Joanie Bower of South Bend, and Donny Bower of Mishawaka, along with her grandchildren, Sommer Joachim, Braedyn Joachim, and Jenneka Perez along with her great grandson, Bentley Biggs. Surviving as well are 3 sisters and an additional grandson, Gavin Rulli.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.

Khristy was a free spirit and a true “hippie child” who loved music, especially classic rock. She enjoyed reading and writing and had a deep love for animals. She often took in pets in need, including neighborhood cats that weren’t even hers. She had a sharp sense of humor, sometimes dark, and people always knew where they stood with her. She was a wonderful mother who cared deeply for her kids and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was intelligent, full of wisdom, and always ready with advice. Khristy believed strongly in the value of education and encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue it to build successful lives. Khristy is finally at peace and reunited with the family and friends who went before her.
