Leota Darlene Kaye

Leota D. Kaye, 72, of Granger, passed away on June 13, 2025. She was born on February 3, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Robert and Delores (Prater) Johnson. Leota worked in restaurant management throughout the Michiana area, and later in the produce department of Meijer for several years.

She is survived by her children Connie Kaye of Osceola and Tony Kaye of South Bend, along with her siblings Robert O. Johnson and Sharon Davis. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Loretta Fox.

Cremation has taken place, and no formal services are planned for Leota. The family asks that you remember her warmth and smile whenever you think of her. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.

In her spare time, Leota enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time working at the local BINGO halls. She also helped those in need as a volunteer with the Red Cross. Leota will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, and her love for a good cup of coffee.
