Lola Federnok

Lola Federnok, age 72 of Osceola, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Lola was born December 23, 1953, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Gerald H. and Lola Pauline (Stevens) Casselman.

Lola worked for many years as a caregiver in the community, a role that reflected the way she lived her life. Caring for her family was always her highest priority. She loved them deeply and whenever she was needed, she was there, always going above and beyond. She also enjoyed painting in her free time. Lola was loved by many and had a stubborn streak that often brought a smile to those who knew her best.

She is survived by her children, Jill Books of Elkhart, Kim (Chad) McDonald, John Federnok, and Matthew Federnok, all of Osceola. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Nicole Spitaels, Alex Books, and Eliscia McDonald; her great-granddaughter, Evelyn Grace Spitaels; and her siblings, Rev. Gerald (Brooke) Casselman of Robertsdale, Alabama, and Laura Wiley of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Casselman.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
