Raymond Floyd Bradford, age 78 of Granger, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.  Ray was born September 3, 1940 in Marshall County, Alabama to the late Raymond Russell and Mary Jane (Collins) Bradford.  On June 22, 1959, he married Jeanette Bentley in the Church of God of Prophecy, Mishawaka.  They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Jeanette survives, along with their children James Ray (Geri) Bradford and Mary Jeanette Bradford, both of Granger.  Surviving as well are his granddaughters Julia and Lydia Bradford of Granger and his siblings Sarah Jane McKenna, Linda C. Kemper and Brenda K. Kemper. He was preceded in death by his siblings Sue Coultas, Robert C. Bradford, and Elizabeth May Bradford.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola with funeral services to follow at 7:00 pm.  Pastors Charles Penticost  and Gene French will officiate the service and interment will be held privately in Olive Cemetery at a later time.

Raymond was self-employed and worked for many years in the construction and retail business.  He owned Bradford Mobile Home & RV Repair and Midway Marine and Bait Shop until his retirement in 2002.

In his spare time, Ray loved fishing and was a longtime member of the Michiana Walleye Association.  He and his family also enjoyed traveling, especially to Dollywood in Tennessee, Brown County, Indiana, and Fields of the Woods, North Carolina.

Most of all, Ray was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed watching and attending his granddaughter’s activities and games. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Mishawaka where he served as a deacon, attended bible studies, and helped run the food bank for those in need.
