Reda (Sizemore) Johnson Seifert, 92, of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Talcum, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Reda was born on October 8, 1934, in Noble, Kentucky, to the late Ben and Nancy (Fugate) Sizemore. She was one of ten children. On October 21, 1952, she married (Jr) Lee Johnson, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1979. On October 11, 1980, she married Alan B. Seifert, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her son, David Johnson; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Johnson; and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her sister, Carrie Kilburn of London, Ky.

Several years ago, Reda rededicated her life to the Lord, and her faith became central to her daily life. She found joy in worshiping the Lord and serving alongside her church family. She also found joy in caring for others and lived out her faith through the kindness she showed for those around her. She also enjoyed gardening, keeping her home immaculate, and making her famous yeast rolls for her family.

Above all, Reda treasured her family wholeheartedly. She spent many years as a homemaker and took great pride in caring for those she loved. Whenever someone came to visit, she made sure they never left empty-handed. Giving came naturally to Reda, and she was always looking for ways to help others.

Reda will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and the love she showed to everyone around her. She was strong and determined, always striving to grow as a person and live out her faith through her actions. Her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, 125 Parks Branch, Hindman, KY 41822. Burial will follow at the Little Jink Ritchie Cemetery.
