Shannon Rae Bostian

Shannon Rae Bostian, age 55, of Granger, passed away on August 20, 2026, at the Center for Hospice Raclin House.

Shannon was born on June 30, 1971, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, to the late Earl Ray Bostian and Shirley I. (Horn) Kendle. She attended Penn High School and spent many years working as a childcare provider in the Michiana area, where she found joy in caring for children and helping others. In her younger years, Shannon loved playing softball and later enjoyed working as a babysitter and nanny, roles that reflected her caring and nurturing nature.

She is survived by her beloved "fur baby," Bubby the Cat. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Kendle, her sister, Dovie Muis, and her aunts Maxine Perry, Pat Gibson, Frances Clark, and Linda Ellis.

Following her wishes, no formal services will be held. Cruz Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
