Terri Lynn Campbell, age 64, of South Bend, after fighting with strength and determination, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, at the Center for Hospice, Raclin House on May 1, 2026.. She was born May 11, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio. Terri was a hardworking and independent woman who took pride in everything she did. She worked for several years as a delivery driver for a printing company before joining the United States Postal Service as a custodian. There, she was well liked by her co-workers for her determination and the pride she took in caring for the facilities. That same strong spirit carried into every part of her life, and Terri was never afraid to tackle a challenge, even working on her own car when needed. Terri was determined throughout her life, even in her final days.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching football games on TV, cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with all kinds of animals. She loved relaxing at the beach, especially at Potato Creek State Park and along the shores of Lake Michigan. Terri also had an adventurous side and enjoyed visiting amusement parks to ride roller coasters. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.
She is survived by her mother, Joyce Opera of South Bend; her three children, Katrina (Jason) Lopez of Elkhart, Joshua Mills of South Bend, and Travis Jones of South Bend; her sister, Jan Campbell of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Ocean Watts, Christian (Don) Cunningham, Donte Rosetto, Keyana Rosetto, Jaiden Lopez, Alexis Mills, Nataly Mills, and Serenity Mills; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Campbell and her daughter, Makenzie Campbell-Mills.
