Wilma Marie Seymore-Wolf, age 89 of Osceola, formerly of New Carlisle, passed away at home on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Wilma was born July 28, 1931 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Oceanius and Thelma (Powell) Snyder. On April 3, 1948, she married Wilton Festus Seymore who preceded her in death in 1988 and later married Charles Wolf in 1994. Charles preceded her in death as well, passing away in 2006.
She is survived by her sons Richard “Rick” (Carol) Seymore, Charles “Chuck” (Chris) Seymore, William “Bill” Seymore and Max Seymore. Surviving as well are her step-children Charles “Charlie” (Gloria) Wolf, Richard “Rick” (Lisa) Wolf and William “Bill” (Tracy) Wolf. Surviving as well are her grandchildren Kris (Elizabeth) Seymore, Kevin Seymore and Matt (Valerie) Seymore along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lucida Marie Seymore and her siblings Dale Snyder, Juanita Paff, Geneva Williams, Clayton Snyder, Earl Snyder, Beatrice Sherrill and Esther Tharp.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Monday, January 25, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Kalvin Morrison at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Wilma was employed for many years in sales at Sears in Elkhart, retiring in 1988. In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and researching her family ancestry. Most of all, she loved her children and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.
She was a longtime member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church in New Carlisle where she served faithfully for years. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society and enjoyed taking her grandchildren on several trips throughout the US.
