Alan Henry McPhail

Alan Henry McPhail, age 43, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mishawaka on Monday, June 1, 2021.  Alan was born July 18, 1977, in Mishawaka to Harry and Mariann (Howland) McPhail.  Alan attended Penn High School and was later employed for several years as a forklift driver for Forest River in Elkhart. 

Alan is survived by his parents, Harry and Mariann McPhail of Osceola and his children who he adored immensely, Tyler Joseph McPhail of Mishawaka and Avery Margaret McPhail of Elkhart.  He also leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée Cait Webber of Mishawaka and his step-sister Tara Lynn McPhail of Wisconsin, along with several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and numerous friends.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents Anna and Richard Howland and Henry and Isabella McPhail and his Aunt Margaret Ann McPhail.

Visitation will be held from 11am to 1 pm Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  A celebration of Alan’s life will begin at 1 pm and he will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Alan will be remembered for his love of music.  He was a talented musician from an early age and was the lead singer with several bands throughout the Michiana area.  He also enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to Heavy Metal Music.  Alan was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Antonio Spurs and the Michigan Wolverines. 

Most of all, Alan’s children were the most important people in his life and he loved them beyond measure.  His sense of humor, sarcastic wit, and friendship to others will be greatly missed.
