Barb is survived by her daughter  Sheryl Ellis (James) LaMar of Valrico, Florida, Rebecca Dujardin (Al) Mathes of New Paris, Indiana, David Eugene (Maritza) Ellis of Cross Hill, South Carolina and her step-son Lamar Seaton of South Bend.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  A private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens where Barb will be laid to rest by her husband Bill.

She was very active in the Avalon Grotto and while a member, she served as the president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary group.  Barb was also a longtime member of the Schuyler Colfax Chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution.  She was very involved with genealogy, loved to play cards and was a regular at the Battell Center in Mishawaka.  In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, and loved to quilt.  She also attended Osceola United Methodist Church for many years.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff of AseraCare Hospice; Lori Lutin, Allison Szabo, Dana Martin, and Ashley Smith, for their care and concern for Barb and her family during their time of need.
