Betty Swick Obituary

Betty Jane Swick, age 98, of Mishawaka peacefully passed. She was continually visited by her family and friends. Betty was born on January 22, 1923 in South Bend. She married Orlando Swick and they celebrated 75 years of marriage.

Betty and her husband were also lifetime members and supporters of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be sadly missed. She enjoyed playing card games, such as bridge, and board games and believed that time having fun was a good time. She enjoyed helping people, even if it meant going out of her way to help show her love and support for them.

Betty is survived by her Son, Ron (Mary Ann) Swick of Detroit, Michigan; her son-in-law, James St.Clair, her grandchildren, Laurie (Rick) Helenburg, Stacey (John Datena) St. Clair,  Aaron (Adrienne) Swick, Patrick Swick and Chris Swick; her great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Maddy, Connor, Cameron, Landon, Colton, Ryan, Shylei and Shelby and several great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her children, Sandra St. Clair and Patrick Swick, her grandchildren, James Savarese and Ryan Swick, as well as her siblings, Marge Scott, Jim Ellis, Mary Nye, Dorothy Hagerty and Donna Przybysz.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes graveside services will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
