Bonnie Faith (Barron) Toth

Bonnie Faith Toth, age 78 of Mishawaka, passed away at the Milton Home in South Bend early in the morning on Saturday, December 4, 2021.  Bonnie was born May 8, 1943, in Illinois.  Her parents, “Papa Barron” and “Nana Anne” preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters Kim Denny of Osceola, Karen (Don) Harrington of Mishawaka, and Krista Toth of Chicago, Illinois.  Bonnie’s longtime companion, Morris “Jay” Gullion of South Bend survives as well.  She is also survived by Jay’s daughters Dee Gullion and Toni Gullion- Reding, both of Kentucky, her son-in-law Kip Bennett of Osceola, 9 grandchildren, Jillian (Matt) Shetterly, Ryan (fiancé Teresa) Gordy, Brett (Tiffany) Gordy, Sarrianne (Adam Shulaw) Harrington, Kaylie Harrington, Heather (Trey) Gullion, Aaron (Michaela) Reding, Jared ( Cheyenne) Reding and Shaun (Melanie) Harrington, as well as 11 great grandchildren.  Her sister, Madelyn Bencover preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 4pm-6:30pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  Funeral services will begin at 6:30pm Wednesday, December 8, 2021, and following the service, friends and family are invited to gather at Mr. G’s Restaurant in Osceola for an informal celebration of her life.

Bonnie was employed for many years in the food service industry and worked at several well-established restaurants in the Michiana area.  In her spare time, she enjoyed using her “green thumb” to grow flowers and plants in her garden and shop for antiques with Jay. She and Jay also spent most Thursday nights at Mr. G’s enjoying a prime rib together. 

Most of all, Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was always there to lend an ear when someone needed to talk and give sound advice when asked. 

Heart to Heart Hospice cared for Bonnie in her final weeks and she grew quite fond of the staff and nurses who came to visit with her at the Milton Home.  For their care and concern, the family wishes for donations to be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in Bonnie’s memory.
