Earl Eugene Wolford

Earl Eugene Wolford, age 75 of Elkhart, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28. 2018 after many years of battling cancer.  Earl was born June 16, 1943 in Mishawaka, Indiana.  On April 12, 1969, he married Wilma Walker in Elkhart, Indiana.   They recently celebrated 49 years of marriage.

Wilma survives, along with their children Richard (Windi Gramm) Wolford of Elkhart and David (Bethany) Wolford of Osceola.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Emily, Zachary, Mary Claire, and Evelyn Wolford.  Earl is also survived by his sister Sharon (Phillip) Stemes of Elkhart.  He was preceded in death by his brother Harry Wolford.

There will be a celebration of Earl’s life from 1:30pm-4:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Jimtown High School cafeteria.  During the celebration of life, a prayer service will be held at 3:30 pm.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with the arrangements.

Earl was a graduate of Mishawaka High School and was employed at Lithotone as a printer for over 35 years until his retirement in 2008.  In his spare time, he was an avid supporter of Jimtown High School athletics.  Earl also served his community as the Athletic Director for the North Central Missionary Church District for over 17 years where he oversaw the basketball and softball programs before retiring in 2015.  He and his wife Wilma were also longtime members of Zion Missionary Church in Elkhart.

Most of all, Earl loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  His love for life and laughter will be greatly missed.
