Obituary

Harriett Anne Wiley, age 78, passed away July 29, 2022, at her home in South Bend, Indiana.  Harriett was born April 20, 1944, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Joseph and Lois (Ellis) Wiley.  She was a graduate of Highland High School, class of 1962 and later graduated with her bachelor's degree in education from Ball State.  Harriett later earned her master's degree in Special Education and taught students for 30 years in Santa Rosa, California.  In her spare time, she was an avid reader and had a tremendous love for animals.

She is survived by her siblings, John (Paulette) Wiley of Anderson, Indiana, Amanda (Raj) Ramaswami of Franklin, North Carolina and Margaret Hicks of South Bend, Indiana.  Also surviving are six nephews, two grand nephews, two grand nieces, numerous cousins and friends.  Her very good friends, Connie Newhouser, Margaret Shapiro, Patty Lather and Cindy Dickenson survive as well.

Cremation has taken place and her family asks that you remember her in your own special way. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola has been entrusted with her arrangements.
