Jacqueline Mary Low

Jacqueline Mary Low, age 61, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at 7:00 am Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Center for Hospice in South Bend.  Jackie was born April 10, 1959 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to the late Dr. Monico and Nancy (Booth) Low.  Following high school graduation, Jackie obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and later earned her Registered Nursing degree from St. Francis University in Evanston, Illinois. 

Surviving are her siblings Teresa Low of Mishawaka and Christopher (Lisa) Low of Martinsville, Indiana.   Also surviving is her nephew Ryan Low and her uncle Doug Booth of Michigan City, Indiana as well as numerous cousins on her father’s side in Canada.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service for Jackie will be held at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with the arrangements.

Jackie had a kind and gentle spirit and was blessed with the “gift of gab” and would strike up conversations with anyone around her.  This gift was important as it enhanced the love for patients she served as a nurse.  In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, watching movies and going out for dinner, researching her family’s ancestry, and watching the snow fall from her window.  She also loved animals, especially her cat Lily.
