John Eddie Fisher

John Eddie Fisher, age 82 of Mishawaka, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Saturday, July 17, 2021.  John was born August 8, 1938 in Oakwood, Ohio to the late John P. and Bessie (Miller) Fisher.  On December 21, 1968, John married Patricia J. Pallo in Roseland, Indiana. She preceded him in death in June of 2005.

Surviving are his sons John Michael Fisher of Plant City, Florida, a step-son Robert Lightfoot and his nephews Gary and Greg Gear. Surviving as well are his grandchildren John Daniel Fisher of Noblesville, Indiana, Joseph Eli Fisher of the Bronx, New York and Jessica Lynn (Eddie) Apple of Houston, Texas, along with 8 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Gear.

Visitation will be held from 12pm-2pm Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm and John will be laid to rest beside Patricia in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola where Military Honors will be rendered.

John was employed at Wheelabrator in Mishawaka for many years and later with the Mishawaka Street Department. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Eagles Lodge, and he enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
