Larry Edward Guyton

Larry Edward Guyton, age 71 of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly at his sister’s home in Arlington, Texas on September 1, 2020.  Larry was born July 2, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Lawrence and Betty (Hensel) Guyton. He graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1967 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from IU South Bend in 1971. On April 4, 2001, he married Eileen Frederick in Hawaii. 

Eileen survives along with Larry’s son Jeff Guyton and his wife Meredith of Niles, Michigan and his stepson Larry Beck of Tucson, Arizona. Surviving as well are his grandchildren Elle and Tate Guyton and his step granddaughter Meghan Beck along with his siblings Sharon Geyer and her husband Mike and Carol McCall and her husband Mike. 

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Knollwood Country Club, 16633 Baywood Lane, Granger, Indiana 46530.  Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola is assisting with the arrangements.

Larry retired as the branch manager from Motion Industries of Elkhart after 40 years of service.  In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, travelling, especially to visit his family in Arlington, Texas, cooking, and was an avid fan of IU Football, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox.
