Macayla Marie Teeter

Macayla Marie Teeter, age 19 of Mishawaka passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.  Macayla was born November 28, 2001 in South Bend, Indiana to Scott Teeter and Sheila Larkin Teeter.  She was a graduate of Clay High School, class of 2020, where she was well liked by many of her teachers and other students and participated in the Drama club and played the violin in the school orchestra.  Following graduation, she was hired as a security officer through Per Mar Security and worked several nights a week at Jet’s Pizza in Mishawaka. 

Macayla leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Sheila Larkin Teeter of South Bend and her father Scott N. Teeter of Mishawaka, her sisters Mackenzie (Nate Warren) Teeter, Madison Larkin and Malayna Teeter and her grandparents Donna (David) Fisette of South Bend and Pat Rzeszewski of Huntsville, Alabama and her boyfriend Leo Rodriguez.  Macayla is also survived by three nephews, whom she loved spending time with, Abel Warren, Liam Warren and Joseph Larkin, along with numerous cousins. Surviving as well are her aunts and uncles Christina (Tommy) Denton, Kimberly Miltenberger, Tracey Marshall, Jennifer Larkin, David (Jeannie) Fisette and Tommy D. (Kim Guennel) Teeter.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Joseph Larkin and Tommy D. Teeter Sr. and her uncle John Larkin.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola. 

Macayla will be remembered for her bright and loving personality. She loved to shop and spoil her three nephews.  More than anything, her family and friends came first in her life and she loved them immensely.  Many times, her friends would call and need someone to listen to them and Macayla always took the time to attend to their needs.
