Melinda "Wendy" Jean (Lovely) Lee

Melinda  “Wendy” Jean Lee, age 60 of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on October 7, 2020.  She was born April 19, 1960 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Berton and Martha (Ham) Lovely.  Wendy married William “Billy” Lee in Elkhart on July 24, 2010 and the recently celebrated 10 years of marriage.

Surviving is her husband Billy Lee of Mishawaka, her daughters Jaimie (Stephen) Hartz of Melbourne, Florida and Starla (fiancée Randy Evans) Roberts of South Bend.  Surviving as well are her stepdaughters Lashunda Perry, Levette Lee, Latesha Jones, Tammy Jones and Tiffany Jones.  Wendy is also survived by her siblings Van Ham, Kathy (Dallas) Rohrer, Jason Lovely and Natasha (Greg) Pletcher, 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Wendy was preceded in death by her infant son, her parents, and her brother Eugene “Neil” Lovely.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 7:00 pm celebration of Wendy’s life on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.

Wendy was employed as a supervisor for over 20 years with Creation Windows and after they closed, she worked over 10 years at Wal-Mart in Osceola.  In her spare time, she enjoyed watching movies, playing games on her mobile phone, and spoiling and feeding her “grand-Dogger.”  She was also a member of the American Legion for several years.

Most of all, Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family.  Her selfless nature and her love for her family and grandchildren will be missed, but never forgotten.
