Michael Brazeau Obituary

Michael Robert Brazeau, age 76 of Elkhart, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on October 27, 2021, following a brief and unexpected illness.  Mike was born November 6, 1944, in Montague, Massachusetts to the late Alcide and Marion (Martin) Brazeau.  Following his high school graduation, Mike obtained an Associates Degree from Northampton Business College.  On September 10, 1966, he married the former Ms. Marie Campbell.  They recently celebrated their 55th anniversary.

Marie survives, along with their son Jamie Brazeau and his wife Missy of Osceola and his grandchildren Ashley and Nathan Brazeau.  His brother Jim Brazeau of Florida survives as well. Mike was preceded in death by his son Sean Brazeau in 2017.  Mike also loved animals and he is also survived by his dog “Maggie.”

A private viewing will be held at Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Osceola and following Mike’s wishes, cremation will follow.  In lieu of flowers, the Brazeau family requests that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in Mike’s memory.

Mike was employed for many years in accounting and sales and was employed in several states throughout the US during his years with the Erving Paper Mill.  His last position with his company took him to Wisconsin, where he spent the remainder of his employment.   After his retirement, he remained active and took on a part time job at a local gas station in Milwaukee before relocating to Elkhart to be closer to his family in May of 2020.

In his spare time, Mike enjoyed traveling with his wife Marie, helping her in their garden.  While living in Massachusetts, Mike enjoyed spending time at the Elks Lodge.  Most of all, he loved being a grandpa to Ashley and Nathan, supporting them in their endeavors in twirling and bowling. He loved keeping in touch with them and called and texted them often to show his love and support and wish them good luck in their events.
