Michael Lawrence Hoffman

Michael Lawrence Hoffman, age 32 of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.  Michael was born August 10, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Michael K. Hoffman and Debra DeBoe.  He was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 2008. He was employed as a mechanic at the Walmart Automotive Center in Elkhart. 

Michael is survived by his son, Tobias Hoffman, the mother of his son Erin Hoffman, his biological father Michael Kent Hoffman, his step father Ed Dean of Mishawaka, and his brothers Zachary (Laura) Dean and Dave Dean.  His mother, Debra Dean preceded  him in death on October 8, 2021.

There will be a joint celebration of Michael and Debra’s lives from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola.  Pastor Dustin Wine of Crossroads Community Church will officiate their memorial services at 7pm.  Following the services, the family would like those in attendance to join them at Mr. G’s Restaurant for a meal and more stories of Michael and Debra’s life.  **A livestream of Michael and Debbie's Celebration of Life will be streamed beginning at 7pm this evening in the video box below**

Michael loved Halloween and worked as an effects specialist and makeup artist at Legend’s Scream Park during the season.  He also enjoyed acting and creating custom graphic designs which he displayed on his car.  He recently finished customizing his car with the Resident Evil theme and was proud to be noticed while driving it around town. 

Because of the care and help given to Michael as a child, he supported Riley’s Hospital for Children, Crossroads Community Church, and the Ronald McDonald House charities. His family asks that memorial contributions be given in his memory to any of the three charities.
