Nancy Singleton Obituary

Nancy Ann Singleton, age 56 of Mishawaka, passed away surrounded by her family on June 16, 2022, after her second battle with cancer. Nancy was born January 25, 1966, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Edward and Betty (Hess) Cassler. On December 17, 2004, she married Walter L. Singleton Jr.

Walt survives along with her children, Joshua E. Zilmer of North Liberty, Sherry (Chris) Cassler, Stephen O. Silvers, Kristen M. Silvers, and Travis (Taylor) Silvers, all of Mishawaka and Jennifer (Jamie) York of South Bend. Surviving as well are her 4 stepchildren; Walter (Heather) Singleton III of Mishawaka, Jason Singleton of Modesto, California, Ann (Brian) Businger and Jacob (Katie) Singleton, both of South Bend. Her siblings Gary (Shannon) Cassler and Vicki Blakely,and 8 nieces and nephews survive as well. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one more great grandchild who she was looking forward to meeting later this summer. She is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Simpson and her brothers, Richard and John Cassler, her nephew James "Jimbo" Simpson, as well as her stepdaughter in law, Allison Singleton.

There will be no formal services for Nancey. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola had been entrusted with her care.

Nancy loved life and spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed hosting family events and remodeling her home with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoyed visiting local casinos with her husband, and shopping. She had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and loved spending time with her kids. She will be truly missed by so many.
