Patsy Cannon Obituary

Patsy Marie Cannon, age 86, passed away surrounded by her family in Osceola on Monday, March 13, 2023. Patsy was born November 27, 1936, in Waterloo, Alabama to the late Russel and Hazel (Woods) Mansel.  On November 27, 1953, she married the late Emmett McKelvey. On February 19, 2000, she married the late Charlie J. Cannon.

She is survived by daughters, Rebecca Clayton, Mishawaka and Sherry (Mitchell) Reeves, Osceola. Her stepchildren, Debbie (Rick) Abel, Charlie Cannon. Her 6 grandchildren, Bill Gunnett, Dave Gunnett, Tracy Reed, Cindy Newsom, Jamie McNulty, B. J. Brown. 9 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 stepsons, Corbett Cannon, Jim Cannon, 2 great-grandchildren, Nicole and Christina Jackey, and a sister, Birdie Mae.

Patsy started her working career at Tri-State Processing for 9-years. She then went to work for remote Control as an assembler. She attended Southside General Baptist Church. Patsy also was an avid fan of watching NASCAR, golf, and Notre Dame football.

A visitation from will be held on Monday March 20, at Southside General Baptist Church from 11am – 1pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1pm. Pastor Jeff Little will be officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Patsy to Southside General Baptist Church in Mishawaka.
