Paul T. Little, age 78 of Osceola, Indiana. passed away at North Woods Village on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Paul was born January 29, 1945, to the late Paul E. and Helen L. (Pyke) Little. Paul was a graduate of Penn High School, class of 1963. On May 30, 1964, he married Sherry Dipert. They recently celebrated their 59th anniversary.
Paul leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sherry Little of Niles and their children Michael Dale (Nicole) Little and Tammy (Todd) Seiler. Also surviving are his grandchildren Casey (Keegan) Ryan, Lauren (Draper) Joy, Kaleigh (Scott) Swinehart, Kelsea (Cole) Hensel, Teigan (Brandon) Parsons and Jesse (Zuri) Seiler. Surviving as well is his sister-in-law, Sharon Little, along with several nieces and a nephew. His brother, Larry James Little, preceded him in death.
A private celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a later date. Cruz Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.
Paul was employed as a machinist at Dodge Reliant in Mishawaka for over 18 years. He later took a position with Indiana University of South Bend with the mechanical maintenance department before his retirement in 2003. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed working on his rental homes, spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, water skiing, trap shooting, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed bowling in leagues. He and Sherry were Notre Dame Women’s Basketball season ticket holders for many years. He was also a 50-year member of the Mishawaka Masonic Lodge #130 and a longtime member of the Osceola American Legion Post 308.
Paul's greatest source of pride and joy in life was his children and grandchildren. His family meant the world to him. He always had a smile on his face when he spoke of their accomplishments and shared stories with his friends about their adventures. He was not just a father and grandfather; he was their biggest cheerleader and a constant source of support.
A generous soul, Paul had a heart that was as large as his kindness. He extended his helping hand to anyone in need and never hesitated to offer assistance, whether it was a neighbor in distress or a friend facing a tough time. His generosity was not limited to material things; he freely gave his time, advice, and most importantly, his friendship.
Most mornings, Paul could be found at Phillips 66 Gas Station, where he spent time with his friends, engaging in lively conversations, and attempting to solve the world's problems, one discussion at a time. His quiet sense of wit and humor will be missed by his family and his friends.
