Seth David Powell

Seth David Powell, age, 33 of Elkhart, Indiana was born August 25, 1987 in Lakewood Colorado to David and Diana Powell and passed from this life April 5, 2021 at 5:45 PM at home with his Dad.

He is survived by his four-year-old son Cain Powell and Cain’s Mom Allison of Mishawaka Indiana, his Dad David Powell of Elkhart Indiana, his sister Heather Cavanaugh, and her husband Rob of Kemah Texas, his brother Pastor Clay Powell and his wife Kristin of Elkhart, and his Grandmother Letha Dacke of Livingston Texas. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his nieces and nephews: Davina, Josiah, Jordan, Riley and Cameron and a host of friends.Preceding him in death was his Mom, Diana
Dacke Powell, His grandfather David Dacke, and grandparents W.E. and Gladys Powell all from Texas. Seth graduated from ‘The Crossing” high school in Goshen Indiana.

Because of the expected number of family and friends who wish to express their condolences to the Powell family, Michiana Community Church, 51637 Ash Road, Granger, Indiana 46530, has graciously opened their doors to Seth’s family for visitation from 4-6:30 pm with a time of sharing immediately following visitation at 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021.  Cruz Family Funeral Home of Osceola has been entrusted with Seth’s arrangements. Seth was loved by everyone who knew him and everyone who met him. He was compassionate, kind and would help anyone out. He was handsome and had a beautiful smile, and he had a way of making us laugh a lot since he was young and thru the years. He loved his son Cain so much and was so excited to spend time with him visiting libraries, parks, going to the movies and just investing his time hanging out with him. He was an avid collector of LP’s music albums, movies on DVD and VHS and Pop figurines. He enjoyed playing golf and playing video games   He also was a fan of the Houston Texans and Houston Astros.

Seth was employed by Titan in Elkhart and loved his job there.  He was a diligent employee, a hard worker, and a perfectionist at his job. He would get very frustrated as a supervisor when jobs were not being done correctly.

He will be greatly missed!!!! We know he is at peace and believe His Momma, whom he missed terribly, is once again holding him in her arms. Rest in peace Son, your struggles are over!! Please know how very much you were loved by not only your family but also your friends!
