Theresa (Therrien) Cass

Theresa Therrien Cass, age 46 of Granger, passed away with her family and friends by her side at the Center for Hospice, Raclin House, on April 11, 2023.  Theresa was born May 23, 1976, in Holyoke, Massachusetts.  She was a graduate of Goshen High School and later graduated from Indiana University, South Bend with a bachelor's degree in general studies.

Theresa leaves to cherish her memory her son, Samuel David Cass of Granger, her mother Linda Looney of Cape Coral, Florida and her sister Amie Bonafilia of Osceola.  Surviving as well is her maternal grandmother “Memere” Irene Lemelin of Cape Coral, Florida, her aunts Lisa Letellier and Debbie Bynres, her nephew Kaden Balentine, her father-in-law, Dave Cass and her “sisters from another mister” Summer King, Corrine Kereszturi, and Michelle Sirko, as well as many friends and extended family.  Her grandfather Robert Therrien and her mother-in-law Nancy Cass preceded her in death.

A private celebration of Theresa’s life will be held at a later date.  To ensure flowers arrive in a timely manner, please have them delivered to Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Osceola with whom her arrangements have been entrusted by Thursday, April 27, 2023.

Theresa was employed for many years with Press-Gainey Publications and more recently with Michiana Hematology and Oncology.  In her spare time, she enjoyed refurbishing antique furniture, spending time at the beach and she loved flowers and gardening.  She also enjoyed knitting and loved to dress up to go out for a night on the town.

She will be remembered for always being present for those she loved, she had a kind and thoughtful soul, and her willingness to help those she loved.  Her nickname “Monica” came from the television series FRIENDS, because she was always the planner and organizer of the events, she and her sorority sisters and friends were a part of. Theresa touched the hearts of many people. She will be forever missed and loved.
